The First Lantern omamori is a demo-play bonus: here's the exact claim route from the title screen, where to redeem it in-game, and what the charm does.

The First Lantern charm — a demo veteran's keepsake.

The First Lantern omamori is a bonus for people who played the demo. Missed the demo? Then bluntly: you cannot get this charm in the retail version — but if you did play it, the charm isn't automatic either. You have to claim it through a slightly buried menu path.

How to Claim It

  1. From the retail version's title screen, open Settings → Privacy → Demo Play Bonus and hit claim.
  2. Boot into the game proper and find any save mirror.
  3. Open the menu and choose Check Add-On Content, then redeem the demo bonus: the First Lantern omamori.

Equipping and Effect

The charm slot unlocks as you progress the main story. Once the equipment menu is available: Equipment → Omamori, slot it, done.

What it does: increases the amount of red souls you pick up. Souls are the currency of upgrades, so over a full campaign the charm quietly pays for itself — a flat bonus to every red soul you'd collect anyway.

It's not build-defining, but it's free power for work you already did. If you're sorting your charm loadout generally, see how omamori equipping works and the lantern pouch recommendations.
