Oikaze (Gale) Boss Guide — Wind Bullets and the Tornado Answers

The easiest early boss, solved: parry the wind bullets, deflect the tornado rush point-blank, block-parry the pull-in slam, and shoot down the final flight.

Oikaze — the gale demon of Kennin-ji's halls.

Oikaze is the friendliest boss of the early game: a short moveset, grab attacks on a frequent but easily-read schedule, and one flight phase with a bow-shaped answer.

Phase One

The grab. His signature move comes early and often — a charged dash from surprisingly long range. Keep distance in mind at all times and sidestep early.

Gust plus wind bullet. Every gust that blows Musashi back is immediately followed by a ranged wind bullet. The gust itself is harmless; the bullet can be parried back into his face or dodged with a double-tap dash.

Phase Two

Tornado rush. He rides a whirlwind straight at you. The counterintuitive answer is the best one: deflect it point-blank. A successful deflect leaves him in a huge recovery — the biggest damage window in the fight.

Pull-in and jump-slam. The tornado drags Musashi in, and the slam follows every single time. The safe answer: hold block, then parry the instant he lands — a guaranteed no-damage answer. Dodging actually has a smaller success window here.

The Flight Finale

At low health he takes to the air and spins a tornado around the arena — the only genuinely tricky move, and it appears almost exclusively once his second bar is nearly gone. The answer is the one thing he can't parry: shoot his back with the bow and he drops out of the sky, ready for the finish.
