Oikaze & Rairei Tag Team Guide — Every Combo Answered

The thunder brothers' double fight solved: kill order, substitution grabs, and all four duo combo attacks with their exact counters.

The tag-team rematch at Kennin-ji reuses both brothers' solo movesets — nothing new individually — but wraps them in four coordinated duo attacks. Learn the kill order and the four answers, and the four health bars stop looking scary.
Core Strategy
- Kill Oikaze first. The gale brother is the more disruptive of the pair; take him out, then duel Rairei alone.
- Watch the substitutions. One brother engages while the other hangs back, and they trade places mid-fight — the swap moment is when grab attacks sneak in. Keep both in view at all times.
- No new solo moves. Everything they do alone matches their earlier fights; your muscle memory transfers.
The Four Duo Combos
Combo 1 — Linked charge. The brothers teleport together, Rairei back-to-back with Oikaze, and Oikaze rockets at you head-first. Deflect or block only — it's his old charge with a tag-team skin.
Combo 2 — Double ultimate. Both teleport together and raise their weapons, then unleash their phase-two ultimates simultaneously. See the wind-up, sprint to maximum range — at enough distance you don't even need to dodge.
Combo 3 — Sky ride and lightning dive. They board their shared mount, take off, and lightning hammers the ground while they circle — then they dive-charge you. The longest wind-up of the four: dodge the falling bolts, line up the charge, and sidestep it.
Combo 4 — Pincer from both flanks. They teleport in standing apart, then charge you from both sides. The shortest tell of the four — watch their positioning the moment they reappear, and dodge laterally early.
